Beverly J. Garnes

SPRINGFIELD – Beverly J. Garnes, 64, passed away on May 23, 2017. Born on August 23, 1952 in Lynn, MA to the late Irving and Margaret “Virginia” (Spence) Brown, she graduated from Westfield State University with a Master’s Degree in Education. Beverly was a Math Teacher at Kiley Middle School in Springfield, retiring 15 years ago. She enjoyed game shows, playing cards and board games with her family, and was an avid New England Sports fan. Predeceased by her sister Nancy Brown, she leaves her loving son James Garnes of Springfield; brothers Douglas Brown and his wife Ann of San Francisco, CA and William Brown and his wife Susan of Hamilton, MA as well as several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 from 9-11 AM at Forastiere Smith Funeral Home, 220 North Main Street, East Longmeadow, MA followed by a service at 11 AM. Burial will take place in Hillcrest Park Cemetery.
