Cherita P Walker

Feeding Hills- Cherita “Shorty” P. (Page) Walker, 92, passed away on January 9, 2018; surrounded and cared for by her loved ones.
Cherita was born in Elizabeth Town, IL, daughter of the late Harold and Mary Frances (Gustin) Page. A resident here for two years, she had previously lived in Virginia and Illinois. Cherita had been employed previously as a school teacher and hair dresser. She was a third generation “Hand Quilter”. She enjoyed life on the farm in Illinois and swimming on the Ohio River. She also enjoyed music from the 30’s and 40’s.
Cherita is survived by her children, Brenda Couture of Feeding Hills, Zane Cody Walker of Maryland, William Walker of Florida, Michael Walker and his wife Meredith of Texas; a sister Jeannie and her husband Doc Linn of Illinois; 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will gather and receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Tuesday (January 16, 2018) in the Colonial Forastiere Family Funeral Home, 985 Main St., Agawam.
