He returned three times as a consultant with his last assignment being in 1991, after which he retired permanently. The early 1940’s also provided a more important aspect to his life as he met his future wife Wallis Lacine and upon his return from WWII they married and began to raise a family. Ed, Wallis and their family moved back to East Longmeadow in 1957. Ed was predeceased by his beloved wife of 40 years in 1986.

He was a longtime communicant and member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Michaels Church in East Longmeadow. Most days Ed enjoyed getting started with morning coffee among his friends in East Longmeadow. Although the places and cast of characters changed somewhat over the years, he always enjoyed the company and friendships these daily get-togethers provided.
Ed was also fortunate to have the companionship of his good friend of many years, Elizabeth Dorman. Whether it was a trip to Europe, visits to his children on the west coast, their yearly trip to Naples FL, or holidays and special occasions with the Belliveau or Dorman families in New England, Ed’s life was better for those experiences. Ed is survived by his children, Lynn Annecston, Philip Belliveau and his wife Christine, Howard Belliveau and his wife Patricia and Raymond Belliveau and his wife Philippa.
