Elaine H. Pocai

SOUTHWICK – Elaine H. Pocai, 78, passed away on December 11, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Woodsville, NH on February 8, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Frances (Clark) Smith. She had previously worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Western MA Hospital and Heritage Hall Nursing Home. Elaine was also a licensed hairdresser for 30 years and owned her own salon. Along with her husband Jack, she worked at the Southern Car Auction in CT as well. Besides her parents, Elaine was predeceased by her son Paul S. Reed. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Jack N. Pocai of Southwick; daughter Dominica L. Rice of Southwick; grandsons Daniel Rice, Justin Rice and Nicholas Breen and friends Edward Ingram and his family, Angela DelBuono and her family and Norman and Pat Cass and their family. Family and friends may gather on Saturday, December 16, 2017 from 9 - 11 AM at the Southwick Forastiere Funeral Home 624 College Highway, Southwick, MA followed by A Liturgy of Christian Burial at 12 Noon at Our Lady of the Lake Parish, Sheep Pasture Rd. Southwick. Burial will be in New Cemetery in the spring. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer House of Hope, 1999 Westfield Street, West Springfield, MA 01089.
