Springfield – Eleanor M. “Ellie” (Gebo) Sulser, 75, of Springfield, passed away peacefully on Wednesday October 18th at Kindred Country Estates in Agawam surrounded by her loving family. Born in Ludlow to the late Jerry and Geraldine (Dorval) Gebo, she was a lifelong area resident. Ellie was employed as a housekeeper for 27 years with Mercy Medical Center in Springfield. Ellie had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening as well as shopping, cheering on the Red Sox and spending time with her beloved family who will miss her dearly. She was predeceased by her first husband, Thomas Enos in 1977 and widowed by George Sulser in 2000. She is survived by her three children, Laura Lasorsa (Tony) of Feeding Hills, Thomas Enos (Loretta) of Springfield and Theodore Enos of Windsor, CT; her three siblings, Marlene Trumper, Lorraine Harrison and Homer “Buddy” Gebo; seven adored grandchildren, Thomas J. Enos, Angela Enos, Samantha Enos, Sandra Quinones, Alyssa Denoncourt, Teddy Enos and Brianna Lasorsa; many dear great-grandchildren and by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Val Carran, Virginia Rollins and Gayle Laurence and by her brothers, George, Charles, Freddie, Billy, Roger and Jerry Gebo. Calling hours will be Sunday October 22nd from 2 – 5 PM at the Forastiere Smith Funeral Home, 220 North Main St. East Longmeadow. Ellie’s funeral service will be held on Monday October 23rd at 10 AM at the funeral home, followed by burial in St. Michael’s Cemetery in Springfield.
