Guy Dennis Veronesi

Agawam – Guy Dennis Veronesi, 59, beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, passed away with his family by his side on February 12, 2017 after a courageous 2 ½ year battle with brain cancer. He was born in Springfield the son of Agostino “Tino” and Alba “Carla” Veronesi. He was a 1975 graduate of Agawam High School. Guy was employed as a plate mounter for CSW Inc. in Ludlow, MA from 1983 – 2015. He had a passion for golf and all things Italian. Guy loved his Italian heritage and visiting Brenzone Lago di Garda where his ancestors were from and where many family still live. He will be greatly missed for his sharp wit and his infectious laugh by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was predeceased by his father, Agostino Veronesi in 2009 and leaves his loving mother, Alba Veronesi of Agawam. He also leaves his devoted sister, Antonia “Toni” Veronesi-Trehey and her husband, David of Springfield; his nephew, Brian Trehey of Springfield; his Godson, Andrew Agostino Lynch of Longmeadow and many cherished extended family and friends here in the U. S. and Italy. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, February 17th from 4-7PM at Colonial Forastiere Funeral Home, 985 Main St., Agawam. Guy’s funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 18th from the funeral home at 8:30AM followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart Church, Feeding Hills at 10AM.
