John W. Burns

West Springfield- John “Jack” W. Burns 61, died November 17, 2017, at home after an illness, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Westfield, he was a son of the late James F. and Beatrice (Mackie) Burns but was a resident of West Springfield for over ten years. Jack was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Lake Church, in Southwick.
Jack is survived by two brothers, James F. Burns Jr., (legal guardian) and his wife Mary of Blandford, MA, David E. Burns and his wife, Marie of Mt. Sherman, KY; two sisters, Donna Marie Purcell and her husband Earl, of Chapin, SC, Sheila B. Paquette (legal guardian) and her husband Rich, of Westfield, MA. A funeral service will take place at 1:00PM on Wednesday (Nov. 22, 2017) in the New Cemetery, College Highway (highway 202/10) Southwick. Memorial contributions may be made to Baystate Hospice, 50 Maple Street, Springfield, MA 01102. Assisting the family is Southwick Forastiere Family Funeral & Cremation, Southwick.
