Louise R. DeNucci

Springfield – Louise Rose (Nitri) DeNucci, 90, beloved mother, grandmother and sister passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on July 15, 2017. She was born in Springfield to the late Alexander and Maria (Fabriani) Nitri on July 15, 1927. Louise was employed for many years at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School and the Springfield School Department. She retired from Bay Path College in 1992. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church where she was an active member of the Mt. Carmel Society for many years. She was also a member of the Springfield Golden Age Club. Louise was devoted to her family and was a wonderful Italian cook. She will be greatly missed for her strength and her love. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband of 43 years, James A. DeNucci; and her brothers, Carlo and Frank Nitri. She leaves, her 2 sons, James DeNucci of Chicopee, and Anthony DeNucci and his wife Cindy of Ludlow; her daughters, Mary Fitzgerald and her husband Patrick of Springfield, and Paula Nawrocki of Chicopee; 4 grandchildren, Christina, Nicholas, Michael, and Joseph; and a sister Rose Graveline of Springfield. Louise’s funeral will be held on Saturday, July 22nd from Forastiere Family Funeral Home, 45 Locust St., Springfield at 10AM followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 11AM. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Visiting hours will precede the funeral from 8AM-10AM.
