Raymond “Ray” Beaulieu,87, formerly of Enfield, CT, passed away on February 9, 2018 at the William Charles Hospice House in Palm Bay, FL.
He was born in Nashua, NH, son of the late Leopold and Lillian (Paradise) Beaulieu. Ray was a lead man and worked for 36 years at the Stanadyne Company in Windsor, CT. He honorably served his country, in the U.S. Army, during the Korean Conflict. Raymond was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
He is survived by his wife and love of his life for 61 years, Dorothy (Trudell) Beaulieu. He leaves behind his daughter Susan Graff and John Graff, of West Suffield, CT; a son Roger Pomerleau of Lowell, MA; his grandson Timothy Landry and wife Judy of Coventry, CT; great grandchildren Dr. Amanda Landry of Boston, MA; Evan and Grace Landry of Coventry, CT. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews including Andrea, Angela, Donald Roux and their families; a sister-in-law Beatrice and her husband Roland Goulet of New Hampshire; a special friend Joe Boudoin and wife Pat and their sons Robert and Joe Jr., of Vero Beach, FL; and dear friends in Melbourne, FL.
Ray was preceded in death by his son Normand Pomerleau and grandson Todd Landry, as well as his childhood cousin Armand Beaulieu.
Ray enjoyed fishing, bowling, riding his bike and long walks in his neighborhood and local malls. He and Dorothy traveled to many states, including Alaska, and loved to take cruises. The visitation will take place from 9:00AM – 10:00AM, on Monday (February 26th, 2018) at the Colonial Forastiere Family Funeral Home, 985 Main St., Agawam. (413) -786-2600. A funeral home service will follow at 10:00AM. Burial with military honors will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Heart Association, 300 5th Avenue, Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451-8750.
