Ann C. Grondalski

Ann C. (Settembro) Grondalski, 83, passed away on September 21, 2022. Born in Springfield, MA on September 17, 1939 to the late Mario J. and Carmella (Scibelli) Settembro, she graduated from the High School of Commerce in the Class of 1957.

She had worked for the family business, Italian Baking Co and for American Telephone & Telegraph. She was also a crossing guard for the City of Springfield.

As a longtime resident of Indian Orchard for 57 years, Ann was a faithful communicant of Immaculate Conception Church. Most of all, she enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren, cooking, gardening, crossword puzzles, curating her collection of elephants, watching Jeopardy and answering before the contestants, knitting, and keeping an immaculate home where everyone and anyone was welcome.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Mitchell M. Grondalski, who passed away on May 14, 2013. To cherish her memory, Ann leaves her children John Grondalski and his wife Christine of Charlton, Thomas Grondalski and his wife Lynn of Ludlow, and Andrew Grondalski and his wife Randi of East Longmeadow; her grandchildren A.J., Kyle, Gabriella, Drew and Anya; her sister Diane King of East Longmeadow as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Sunday, September 25, 2022 from 4 – 7 PM at Forastiere Smith Funeral & Cremation, 220 North Main Street, East Longmeadow. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 26, 2022 beginning at 9:45 AM at the funeral home followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 25 Parker Street, Indian Orchard. Burial will take place in St. Aloysius Cemetery.
