Anne Marie Tower, 63, of Longmeadow passed away on March 30, 2021. She was born in Springfield on May 12, 1957 to Loys Center (Dolan) and the late Arthur “Gary” Center. She grew up in Springfield and was a graduate of Cathedral High School and later the Elms College with a Bachelors in Biochemistry. She later received her MBA from Western New England College. She spent many years employed by the Springfield Water and Sewer Commission as an Inspector where she made many friends throughout the community at the various businesses she visited. Anne was a devoted mother and Grammie whose best times were spent travelling with her daughter, Katie, and singing to her grandson, RJ. She enjoyed reading, crafting, and volunteering, especially with shelter animals, having adopted four rescue dogs in recent years. Many wonderful memories were also made in York Beach, Maine with her family. Her family will always remember her kind, enthusiastic, and caring spirit. Anne was predeceased by her father. She will forever be in the hearts of her loving family including her daughter Kathleen and her husband Ross Freund of Saint Johns, FL and her beloved grandson Ross James Freund. She also leaves her mother Loys Center of Springfield, her sisters Kathy and her husband Peter Krupczak of Springfield, and Carol and her husband Paul Brodeur of Agawam. Anne also leaves behind beloved nephews and niece, John, Michael, and Lauren. There will be no calling hours, family and friends are invited to gather for a funeral mass on Tuesday April 6, 2021 at 11:00am at Saint Mary’s Parish, 519 Longmeadow St, Longmeadow. A private burial will take place following the mass. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Thomas J. O’Connor Animal Control and Adoption Center, 627 Cottage St., Springfield MA 01104.
