Antonietta Peluso

Antonietta “Nanetta” Peluso, 80, of Springfield, MA, died on Sunday, September 19, 2021 surrounded by her loving family at her home. She was born in Quindici, Italy on May 16, 1941 to the late Costantino and Elisabetta (Vivenzio) Santaniello.

Nanetta immigrated to Springfield in 1967 and was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Springfield. She worked at Milton Bradley (Hasbro) for 37 years before retiring. Nanetta was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Aniello, who died on October 26, 2010, her brother Salvatore “Tore” Santaniello, and her brother-in-law, Mario Stellato. She leaves behind daughter Filomena Peluso and husband Alfredo of Quindici, Italy, daughter Anna Donahue of Springfield, MA, son Giro Peluso of Springfield, MA, son Michael Peluso and wife Stephanie of Agawam, MA, daughter Josephine Paulson and husband Charles of Russell, MA, and son Christopher Peluso and wife Tyler of Agawam, MA. She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, her sister Natalina Stellato and Natalina’s sons, Robert and Mario Stellato, her sister-in-law, Rosa Santaniello and Rosa’s son Costantino “Dino” Santaniello, as well as many relatives and friends.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 8-10 AM at Forastiere Smith Funeral & Cremation, 220 North Main Street, East Longmeadow. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be at 11 AM at Holy Name Parish, 323 Dickinson Street, Springfield. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Tinkham Road, Springfield.
