Blanche S. Redick

Blanche Stella (Williams) Redick, 99, passed away on Monday, July 30, 2018 with family by her side. Blanche was a couple weeks away from celebrating her 100th birthday. She was one of 12 children to her parents Alfred and Stella (Phillips) Williams. She was born and raised in Southwick and met her husband Boysie Redick where they began their own family of six children. Blanche was a wonderful wife and mother who always made the holidays so special. She enjoyed family time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with baseball games and pig roasts. Blanche also had fun at the casino playing poker; where she enjoyed trips to Mohegan and Foxwoods with her family and friends. Blanche was predeceased by her beloved husband of 58 years Boysie Redick. Blanche is survived by her children: Robert Redick, Boysie Jr., Gloria, Leonard and Dennis Redick all of Springfield; her sister Jenny LaBombard of Southwick; 16 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 27 great-great-grandchildren. She was also predeceased by her son Earl Redick and her parents Alfred and Stella (Phillips) Redick. A celebration of Blanche’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 gathering at Southwick Forastiere Funeral Home at 1:00pm with a graveside service at New Cemetery in Southwick.
