Carol K Collins

Carol K. Collins was the representation of “where there’s a will there’s a way.” Anyone who came into contact with her immediately was showered with caring, and the exemplar of her love and life were her kids. On August 5, 2019, surrounded by loved ones, she joined her daughter Melissa Jo Miller in heaven. Carol was born outside of Chicago on December 12, 1958 to Nancy (Claypool) Bergman and Robert Collins. Guided by her unwavering compassion, fire, and moral compass, she dedicated herself to touching people’s lives even when they didn’t know they needed it. Personifying heart and steel, she made it her mission to make everyone feel loved and important, with no regard for herself. Carol was an established presence at every sporting event, performance, and community function. An unstoppable force that is loved and will be missed by all. Carol made health her mission, completed half marathons, adored animals, read voraciously and was rarely found without her camera. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten by her loving children Chelsea, Patrick, Mariah, and Jonathan Collins, and many extended family and friends. All are invited to gather on Sunday August 11, 2019 from 1-4pm in the Southwick Forastiere Funeral Home, 624 College Highway, Southwick MA, 01077. A funeral service will take place Monday August 12, 2019 at 8:30am in the funeral home, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00am in Sacred Heart Church, 395 Chestnut Street, Springfield, MA. Burial will be at New Cemetery, Southwick. Memorial contributions in Carol’s name may be made to The Carol Collins Legacy Fund at Westfield Bank.
