Daniel Garcia

Daniel Garcia, 88, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 13, 2022, with his loving family by his side.

Daniel was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico on July 21, 1934; one of eleven children, to the late Pedro and Maria (Rivera) Garcia. 

He is survived by his daughters Nitza Idalia Garcia Santos, Yazmin Garcia Santos, and Edna Odille Garcia Santos. He leaves behind his brothers Antonio Garcia, Aurelio Garcia, and Raymond Garcia, as well as his sisters Petra Garcia, Lina Garcia, and Dolores Garcia. He leaves behind grandchildren and great grandchildren; Eric Chalin Lopez Garcia, Paula Michelle Lopez Garcia, Isabel Alejandra Parrilla Garcia, Paola Parrilla Garcia, Jose Abraham Charneco Garcia, and Kimberly Charneco Garcia. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brothers Emelio Garcia and Jose Garcia, as well as his sisters Leonor Garcia and Eva Garcia. 

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 20, 2022, from 5:00-7:00pm at Forastiere Smith Funeral & Cremation located at 220 N. Main St in East Longmeadow followed by a service at 7:00pm. Graveside burial will be held Monday, November 21, 2022, at 11:00am in Oak Grove Cemetery in Springfield, MA.
