WEST SPRINGFIELD- Francis Raymond Flebotte 88, affectionately known as “Bud”, devoted husband for 65 years to Virginia (Vignone) Flebotte passed away on November 16, 2020.
Francis was born in Springfield, MA to the late Lawrence A. and Marion (Fortin) Flebotte. He worked as a produce manager at Flebotte’s Fine Foods Inc. for many years. Prior to his retirement, he was the owner of Orchard Power Equipment, Inc.
Francis served his country for nine years in the Air National Guard attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant and receiving an honorable discharge in 1959.
For 12 years, he enjoyed being a “Caller” at Square Dancing events from Rhode Island and up as far as Buffalo, New York.
Francis was a member of the K of C #10195. He and his wife were both Eucharistic Ministers at St. Cecilia’s Church, when they resided in Wilbraham.
He was predeceased by his brother, Lawrence “Duke” Flebotte.
In addition to his wife, Francis is survived by his beloved daughter, Linda Sypek and her husband Bill; his cherished granddaughter Andrea Sypek all of Agawam; his brother, David Flebotte and his wife Claire, of Florida; his sister Barbara Flebotte of Somers, CT; sister in law Dolores Flebotte of Florida, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
