Obituary
SOMERS, CT – Frida Fragomeni. 90, passed away on June 3, 2021 at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Waiblingen, Germany on September 21, 1930 to the late Friedrich and Frida (Lammle) Krokenberger, she had attended and graduated from Volkshule School in 1944.
At the age of 21, she immigrated by boat to the United States. Frida had worked as a seamstress at Kinsler Coats in Springfield for 1 year, Luren Sportswear in West Springfield for 12 years and Holyoke Dress in Springfield for 23 years.
In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, growing her own vegetables and cooking. She also loved being with family especially her grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Frida was predeceased by her brothers Ernst and Fritz and her sisters Lydia and Hedwig. To cherish her memory, she leaves her loving husband Paul Fragomeni of Somers, her son Thomas Fragomeni and his wife Lisa of Somers; her grandchildren Matthew Fragomeni and his wife Katie and Marissa Fragomeni and her fiancé Daniel McDonald; her great grandchild Logan; her sister Waltraud Carl as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Frida will be held privately for the family and have been entrusted to Forastiere Smith Funeral & Cremation.
