Obituary

Wilbraham – Gregg Ryan Secor passed away unexpectedly, surrounded by his loving family on February 4, 2020. He was born in Springfield on April 17, 1980 to the late David Secor and Susan (Tetrault) Alfano. He grew up in Somers CT, playing the saxophone and many little league baseball games. He graduated from Suffield Academy, and after traveling a bit of the European world, he graduated from Drew University in 2002. He worked at MassMutual Insurance Company and was the Vice President Chief Underwriter for Amica Insurance. His greatest passion was his children and family. He was the coach, dream catcher, and superhero to his children Dylan and Ava. He spent his time showing them how to throw a ball and taking vacations in Naples FL. When he wasn’t spending time with them, he was watching his second families the Red Sox and Patriots. Gregg was a man with a contagious smile and a heart of gold. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Kristen Secor of Wilbraham, his two children Dylan and Ava, his mother Susan Alfano of Naples FL, his brother Daniel Alfano and his wife Gina of Springfield, his sister Caitlin Alfano and her husband Vincent Santaniello of Naples FL, his step-father Charles Alfano of Enfield CT, his mother-in-law Donna Dougherty and brother in law Michael Dougherty, his aunts and uncles Jane and Jim Kiah, Janet and Richard Ursino, Robert Tetrault, Margaret Cancellieri , Mary Alfano, and numerous close cousins, extended family and friends. A celebration to honor Gregg’s life will be Sunday February 9, 2020 from 3-7pm in Forasitere Smith Funeral & Cremation, 220 N Main St., East Longmeadow. The funeral will be held Monday February 10, 2020 at 8:45am in the funeral home. A liturgy of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00am in St Michael’s Church, 128 Maple Street, East Longmeadow.
