Helen Papadopulos

Agawam - Helen (Felopulos) Papadopulos, 93, passed away on Tuesday April 6, 2021. She was born in North Adams, MA on August 15, 1927 to the late John and Effie (Despotopoulos) Felopulos. Helen resided in Springfield most of her life and later moved to Agawam where she enjoyed spending her days at the Agawam Senior Center with her many good friends. Helen was known as “Yia Yia” to almost everyone who knew her. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her children and grandchildren. They were the light of her life. She will be sadly missed by her beloved children, George Christy (Marlene) of Southwick, John Christy of West Springfield and Stephen Christy (Mimi) of East Longmeadow. Helen leaves 6 grandchildren, Angela Hart (Michael), Kim Jubb (Pat), Tegan Kimball (Jeff), Mikaela Pollenz (Matt), Stephen Christy, Charlotte Christy (Sam) and 11 great grandchildren. She also leaves her daughters-in-law Beverly Smith and Donna Christy as well as her niece Hope Biastre. Helen was pre-deceased by her sister Fona Larini. The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the nurses and aides at Heritage Hall West in Agawam for their very compassionate care given to Helen.
