James M. Antico

Chicopee- James M. Antico, 40, died unexpectedly on February 18, 2020 surrounded by family. James was born on June 26, 1979 to Bruno Jr. and Paula (Christiana) Antico in Springfield. Jim grew up in Agawam, graduating from Agawam High School in 1997 and going on to receive an associate’s degree in Criminal justice from Holyoke Community College. He soon found his passion to be a Correctional Officer at Osborn Correctional Facility in Somers CT. He was a most loving, kind man who would do anything for anyone. He was an avid Boston Red Sox, Patriots and Bruins fan. His proudest and greatest joys were his two beautiful children who he loved to watch play hockey. He meant so much to so many people, he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He leaves behind his children Landon and Olivia, his parents Bruno Jr. and Paula Antico of Agawam, his siblings Lisa Derose (Vinnie) of Feeding Hills, Bruno Antico III of Southwick, Anthony Antico (Sharyn) of Southwick, and Joseph Antico (Jill) of Agawam, his former wife Kristen Parker of West Springfield, and many nieces, nephews, amazing friends, and large correctional family. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents James and Jeannie Christiana and paternal grandparents Bruno Sr. and Concetta Antico. Family and friends are invited to gather Monday February 24, 2020 from 2-6pm in Colonial Forastiere Funeral Home, 985 Main Street, Agawam MA. A memorial service will follow at 6:00pm.
