James F. Borgatti

James F. Borgatti, 63, passed away on March 2, 2021 at Baystate Medical Center due to unexpected medical complications from a stroke. Jim was born on October 23, 1957. He was predeceased by his parents, the late Joseph and Helen (Johnson) Borgatti.

To cherish his memory, Jim leaves his loving wife of 44 years, Ginger. He also leaves his daughters Jennifer Castonguay and her husband Daniel and Pamela Borgatti and her fiancé Morgan Mendes. Jim also leaves his beloved grandchildren Sally and her fiancé John, Ashleigh, Tyler, Landin and Travis. Jim is survived by his brothers Frank, Joseph, Robert and Larry as well as his brother-in-law Tom Schmidt and his wife Linda.

Jim worked for H.P. Hood in Agawam for 47 years as a selector and shipper. What truly fulfilled Jim’s life was being a devoted and loving husband, father, and “Poppi” (grandfather). Jim also enjoyed fishing with his grandson Tyler and buddy John Moriarty. He enjoyed going on camping vacations with his family and friends especially Tom and Rose Gaughan.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 from 5 – 7 PM at Colonial Forastiere Funeral Home, 985 Main Street, Agawam, MA followed by a service at 7 PM. Everyone is encouraged to wear comfortable clothing while in attendance.
