Joseph Calise

Agawam – Joseph Calise passed away peacefully at the age of 29, with his family by his side, on Monday, October 15, 2018. He fought a long, valiant battle with cancer. Joseph was born in a galaxy far, far away on RAF Upper Heyford, United Kingdom. He traveled around the world with his family before settling in Agawam, MA. His greatest passions were for movies, music and his family. His selfless manner went far from unnoticed. He was an avid runner and movie guru. Joseph had always managed to overcome his life of challenges, with a smile on his face, a can-do attitude and endless humor. He worked at ITT Power Solutions in West Springfield for several years, followed by ECI in Westfield. Joseph leaves behind his parents Joseph and Darcie (Pope) Calise of Agawam; his older sisters Amber (Calise) Armitage of Hebron, CT and Sarah Calise of Agawam; and his younger brother Robert Calise of Westfield, MA. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews: Nicole, Ashlee, Harley and Toby Armitage, and Silas and Charlotte Calise. He is further survived by his husband Steve Robles; and his parents Joe and Nancy Robles; and too many other relatives to count that supported him through the years. Joseph was predeceased by his paternal grandparents Joseph and Carmela (Cedrone) Calise; his maternal grandparents Robert and Eleanor (Williams) Pope; and his maternal uncle Andrew Kusey. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, October 22, 2018 from 2-4pm & 6-8pm at Colonial Forastiere Funeral Home, 985 Main St., Agawam, MA with a Celebration of Life ceremony beginning at 7:30pm. A private burial will be held at the convenience of his family.
