Joseph Anthony Morse

Hampden – Joseph A. Morse, 26, passed away unexpectedly on August 15, 2018. Joseph was born on June 17, 1992 to loving parents Alvin and Donna (Calabrese) Morse. Joe was a lifelong resident of Hampden, attending local schools including Minnechaug Regional High School. Joe was an avid cook, and brought his love for food into his work life. Most recently Joe was employed as a chef for Wingate of Hampden, and previously worked for businesses such as Uno’s and Twin Hills Country Club. He was known for his love of his family and friends, and caring nature. Joe had a deep love for music, and could often be found fishing at the Scantic River. Joseph is survived by his parents Alvin and Donna Morse, both of Hampden; his brothers Jeremy Morse and Alex Morse; paternal grandmother Rachael Hermany; maternal grandfather Alfonso Calabrese; as well as aunts, uncles, and many loving friends. Joe was predeceased by his paternal grandfather Alvin Morse, Sr., and maternal grandmother Janice Calabrese. Joseph will be missed dearly, and his life will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 21, from 6:00PM-9:00PM, at the Forastiere Smith Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., East Longmeadow, MA.
