Obituary

Kendra Elizabeth McNabb, age 27, was unexpectedly taken from us on Friday, June 26, 2020 in Raeford, NC. She was born October 4, 1992 with her twin sister Kayla (McNabb) Strohman in Springfield, MA. Kendra was a 2011 graduate of East Longmeadow High School. She was vibrant, brave, kind-hearted, free-spirited and filled with a fiery passion for life and animals, especially dogs and horses. Kendra attended Johnson and Wales College, Holyoke Community College, and University of Massachusetts in Amherst, MA in pursuit of her lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian. Kendra fell in love with the sport of skydiving, was a member of the UMass skydiving team, and traveled the country pursuing her passion for free flight. Kendra leaves behind a large and loving family. Kendra was the daughter of Cheryl Anne (Huber) and George E. Gorton, III of East Longmeadow, MA and Daniel G. Molloy of Crystal City, MO, her godfather. She prepares the way for her brothers and sisters Christian, Kayla her wombmate and husband Andrew, Kiera, Johanna, Benjamin, and Kristen as well as her father Keith McNabb. She will be missed by her grandparents Barbara and Raymond Huber, George and Cassandra Gorton, Grammy Molloy and Enzenia McNabb. She is predeceased by her Papi Joe and Uncle Dave Molloy. She leaves behind her Aunt Debbie, Uncle Clark and Aunt Joyce, and many other beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, close friends, and her beloved dogs Ajax and Roxie. Ar dheis De go raibh sí. The visiting hours to celebrate Kendra’s life will be on Monday, July 6th from 4 to 8pm at Forastiere Smith Family Funeral Home, 220 North Main St., East Longmeadow (masks and social distancing required). The Rosary will be recited at 9am for Kendra on Tuesday morning at the funeral home followed by her funeral procession that will leave at 10:00. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Michael’s Parish at 128 Maple St, East Longmeadow at 10:30 AM (masks and social distancing required). Those who wish to remember Kendra with a gift of flowers are welcome to, or in lieu of flowers may make a contribution to the [Massachusetts Society of Prevention for Cruelty to Animals].
