LD Strawn

LD Strawn, 92, passed away peacefully in his home on September 27, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Hooks, TX on July 4, 1930, son of the late Homer and Alise (Sturgeon) Strawn; and was a resident of Feeding Hills since 1970. LD was a US Air Force Retiree, having served for 20 years, including a tour in Vietnam. He retired as a Master Sergeant. He also worked as a Supervisor for Strathmore Paper Co. in Westfield, and at Butler Paper Co. as the President of the Local Union. During his retirement, LD liked to spend time with family at home, and would tinker with repairs and woodworking. LD’s loving memory will live on in his two sons, Richard Strawn and his wife Kathy, of Stuart, Florida, Lawrence Strawn of Feeding Hills; a daughter, Yvonne Favreau and her husband Albert, of Ludlow; 2 grandchildren, Shaun Favreau of Ludlow, Carrie Favreau of Ludlow; a great granddaughter, Layla; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Susanah (Hall) and three siblings. A private funeral service and burial will be held. There are no calling hours.
