Marcella Marie Waugh

Enfield – Marcella (Moran) Waugh, formally of Tolland, MA, passed away at home on April 18, 2019. Marcella was born June 4, 1930 to the late Louis J. and Anna G. (Shea) Moran in Hungry Hill, Springfield. Marcella graduated from Classical High School of Springfield in 1947, she received her Bachelor’s Degree at Northeastern University in 1953 and her Master’s in Education from Boston University in 1955. She taught in Springfield for 10 years, 1 year in Granville, and 24 years in Bloomfield, CT until her retirement in 1990. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her loving husband of 40 years Charles E. Waugh. She is survived by her sister Lois Moran of Springfield, MA; her brother James Moran and his wife Kathleen of Enfield, CT; her nephews Michael J. Moran (Christine) of Wilbraham, MA and Brian L. Moran (Serena) of Paradise Valley, AZ; and niece Maryellen M. Gaffney (Thomas) of Suffield, CT. Family and friends are invited to gather for calling hours 8:30am to 10:00am Tuesday April 23, 2019 in Forastiere Smith Funeral Home, 220 North Main St, East Longmeadow, MA. A funeral mass with follow at 11:00am in St. Paul the Apostle Church, 235 Dwight Road, Springfield. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery, Tolland, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Marcella’s name may be made to Shriners Hospital 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104.
