Maria D. Vega

Maria D. Vega, 80, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at the St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. She was born and raised in Puerto Rico, a daughter of the late Pablo Rivera and Adelaida Carrasquillo. Maria was a proud mother and homemaker. She enjoyed playing dominos, dancing and loved her family. She was a faithful parishioner of the catholic church. Maria will be deeply missed by her children, Wanda Broom of Leesburg, VA, Sandra Vega of Springfield, Juan Vega of Stratford, NJ and all of their families, as well as her 8 grandchildren and one sister Isabel. Maria was predeceased by a grandson Angel Ruiz Vega, and 6 of her siblings. Visiting hours will be held at the Forastiere Family Funeral and Cremation, 45 Locust St., Springfield, MA 01108 on Saturday, September 16, 2023, from 12PM-2PM followed by a Service at 2PM.
