Mark C. Penndorf

Mark Collins Penndorf, 63, died unexpectedly at his home in Springfield on May 14, 2020. Mark is survived by his beloved wife Angela; his stepdaughter Christine Lunsford and her husband Rick from East Longmeadow; his loving brother Jeffery Penndorf and his wife Kim, from East Longmeadow; his three cherished nieces, Caitlin Roberts and her husband Pat, Kelsey Penndorf, and Taylor Penndorf.   He is also survived by the three lights of his life, his grandchildren, Maddy, Gabby, and Ricky. Mark was born on July 23, 1956 in Springfield, MA to George Penndorf and Corinne Marie Collins. He is preceded in death by his loving parents and his adored stepson, Michael Talty. He married Angela, whom he loved unconditionally, in 2002. Mark was a retired machinist with Stanadyne and most recently worked for Hulmes Transportation. He graduated from Trade High School. Along with his family, Mark will be remembered and missed by so many others, including his dear friends Judy, Pat and Dave. Mark was a no-frills kind of guy.  He was very kind and gentle.  Mark had an impressive CD collection and especially loved listening to the blues and playing the harmonica.  His T-shirts would always make for a good laugh.  He found peace and enjoyment going fishing out on the lake.  Those who were close to him could always expect a funny “off color” card on their birthday from him. Services will be kept private at this time to ensure safety of our loved ones during this pandemic and are entrusted to Forastiere Smith Family Funeral Home, 220 North Main St., East Longmeadow.  In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to a Crohn’s or Leukemia foundation of your choice.
