Obituary

Mary Ann (Yendell) Perrault, age 81, left this world on Monday, November 12, 2018 to join her family in heaven. Born in Boston on August 7, 1937, she was the daughter of Grace Mary (Robertson) and Sydney J. Yendell.  As a girl, her parents and brother, James, moved to the small town of Swanzey, New Hampshire where she spent many happy years.

After graduating from high school, Ann worked as a telephone operator and at the age 21, she married her husband, Ernest A. Perrault. As a newly married woman, she lived in Connecticut and New York and eventually settled in the town of Chester, Massachusetts where she lived on a small farm and raised her family. In 2004, Ann and her husband moved to be closer to their children and grandchildren and settled in the town of Agawam, Massachusetts.

Ann touched many lives and made many friends as a Nurse's Aide at Noble Hospital in Westfield where she worked until she retired. She was known for her love of reading, the library and her extensive vocabulary. She successfully encouraged her children and grandchildren to pursue higher education and be independent. Ann enjoyed oil and acrylic painting, baking homemade pies, crossword puzzles, surfing the web, keeping up with her good friends, adopting rescue dogs (Kemo) and cats (TJ), and growing vegetables and flowers – especially sunflowers.

Ann was predeceased by her husband, Ernest A. Perrault, her parents, Grace Mary (Robertson) and Sydney J. Yendell, her brother, James G. Yendell and his wife, Ruth (Tenny). She leaves behind her son Ernest Perrault of Maine; her daughter Carol and her husband Carl Fancy, III, of Agawam; her daughter Trish Perrault and her partner, Jerry Meehan, of New York; her son Jim Perrault of Easthampton; and her daughter Jeanne and her husband Chris Hartmann of Agawam. She leaves behind her treasured grandchildren: Carl IV, Emily, Rachel, Lauren, Lindsay, and Caitlyn. Ann also leaves her nephews and niece: Dave and Tracy Yendell of Vermont; Thomas and Marian Yendell of Florida; and, Linda and Dennis Keating of Florida.  Ann will be remembered for her hugs, kisses and her unending loyalty to her family.
