Obituary

Westfield – Phyllis M. Sotolotto, 92, beloved mother, grandmother and sister, died on March 7, 2019 at Westfield Gardens. She was born in Tacoma, Washington to the late Phillip and Dorothy Voorhees on September 18, 1926. She was the devoted wife of Carmino Sotolotto who passed in 2000. Phyllis was an EMT in Ballston Lake NY, and she was a line dancing instructor for 10 years. She will be fondly remembered for her love of country music, especially Hank Williams, and spending time with her family, always being the one behind the camera taking pictures and sharing the beautiful memories. She is survived by her son, Joseph Sotolotto and his wife Diane of King of Prussia, PA; her daughters, Carmen McNamee and her husband Gary of Agawam, and Susan Aylward and her husband John of Redmond, OR; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. She was also predeceased by a son, James Sotolotto; and sisters, June Nicholson and Boots Adams. A very special thank you to the wonderful caregivers and friends at Westfield Gardens and Ascend Hospice. Family and friends are invited to attend a visiting hour on Monday, March 11, 2019 from 10:00am to 11:00am at Colonial Forastiere Funeral Home, 985 Main St., Agawam immediately followed by a funeral home service beginning at 11:00am. Burial will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Springfield. Donations in Phyllis’ memory may be made to Westfield Gardens, 37 Feeding Hills Rd, Westfield MA 01085, and Ascend Hospice, 100 Locke Dr. Marlborough MA 01752.
