Robin Carol Waterman

Robin Carol (Lappen) Waterman, Feeding Hills, passed away unexpectedly on June 20, 2022, at the age of 67. She was born in Manchester CT on October 26, 1954 to the late Robert W. and Priscilla Virginia (Lyon) Lappen.

Robin graduated from Manchester High School. She won an award for her skill in writing Shorthand. Following graduation she worked in her father’s Insurance Company, Kmart as Department Manager of Automotive and Sporting Goods for 35 years, and then for two Communication Companies in Connecticut in the shipping and receiving department until she retired.

Robin was a social butterfly. She loved to get together with her friends in the Volleyball League and bowling-watched sports games together with family and friends. She enjoyed watching football – especially the Giants--cheering them on to win the game. She had a passion for tending her beautiful flower garden and watching the birds especially when they flocked in the backyard. And oh how she enjoyed those backyard BBQs with family and friends. She relished being the hostess and Rob, her husband, as host at the grill--

Robin will be dearly missed by Rob her loving and devoted husband of 32 years, her loving son, Gregory Glidden, and his partner, Kelly Bristol, and Owen, her grandson, her step-daughters, Amy Mason and Shannon Bigelow, her sisters; Linda Gillespie and her husband Robert; Nancy Budarz, and brother, Michael Lappen and his wife Connie, and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family, along with her dear life time friend Margaret (Peggy) Caplette.
The Colonial Forastiere Funeral & Cremation is assisting with plans for a service that will be held later at the convenience of the family.
