RoseAnn McGurrin Ehrhard

RoseAnn McGurrin Ehrhard left us for her heavenly Father on Friday, September 21, 2018. She died peacefully after a brief illness surrounded by her loving family. RoseAnn was born on December 14,1948, in Boston, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of Robert and Nora (Dowd) McGurrin of Waltham, Massachusetts. She graduated from St. Mary's High School in Waltham in 1966. She went on to attend Emmanuel College in Boston where she graduated with a BA degree in History in June of 1970. Later in life, while a mother of five, she attended Western New England College School of Law where she received a JD degree in 1991. She was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in that year and practiced law in Hampden County since that date.She leaves behind Lawrence Ehrhard, her husband of forty-eight years; five children: Kathleen Ehrhard and her husband Shanker Linkasamy, Ann and her husband Michael Wofford, Elise and her husband Allen Makia, James Ehrhard and his wife Karen, and Meaghan and her husband George Miles; and nine grandchildren-Timothy and Rose Linkasamy; Grace and Emma Wofford; Lilly, William and Matthew Ehrhard; and Russell and Joseph Makia. RoseAnn was deeply loved by all her family and will be greatly missed. RoseAnn was a forty-one year resident of Longmeadow and a faithful communicant of St. Mary's Church in Longmeadow. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her most important accomplishment was her family and she took great pride in their strong faith and individual accomplishments. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, September 24th from 5-8 p.m. at Forastiere Smith Funeral Home, 220 North Main St., East Longmeadow, MA. Funeral mass will take place at St. Mary's Church in Longmeadow the following day, September 25th at 11:00 a.m. with internment to take place immediately afterwards in the Longmeadow Cemetery.
