Agawam - Sheryl L. Melbourne, 69, passed away peacefully Monday, September 17, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born March 25, 1949 in Springfield, MA, she was a daughter to Elaine (Metivier) Manchester and the late Donald Manchester. She graduated from Agawam High School in 1967 and continued her studies in communications at S.T.C.C. Sheryl was employed with Verizon as a Central Office Technician for 26 years, retiring in 2008. She was a communicant of the former St. Therese Church, Agawam and Sacred Heart Church, Feeding Hills. In addition to her mother Elaine, Sheryl is survived by her husband Rondal Bean; children Jason Melbourne, Jenni Melbourne Adamczyk, Eric Melbourne, Tracy and her husband Jeff Plakias and Robert Bean; grandchildren Connor and Cody Adamczyk, Lauren, Thomas and Michael Plakias, and Kayla and Olivia Bean; brother Barry Manchester and wife Maritza; mother-in-law Johnsie; brother-in-law Jim Bean; sister-in-law Pam Bean; and numerous other loving relatives and friends. Funeral services for Sheryl will begin at 8:45AM on Saturday, September 22, 2018 from Colonial Forastiere Funeral Home, 985 Main St., Agawam with a Liturgy of Christian Burial, to be celebrated at 10:00AM, at Sacred Heart Church, with burial following in Springfield Street Cemetery, both in Feeding Hills. Calling hours will be held from 4-7PM on Friday, September 21st at the funeral home.
