Obituary

WEST SPRINGFIELD – Stephen A. Clarke, 71, passed away on January 10, 2019. Born in Winchester, MA on October 10, 1947, he was the son of the late Ronald W. and Florence (Gooding) Clarke. He was a Vietnam Veteran that proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1967 – 1970. For many years, he had worked at Ballard International and most recently for TVS Communications before retiring. Steve was a faithful communicant of Mittineague Congregational Church, where he served on several committees. He was also an avid motorcyclist, enjoyed NASCAR and loved camping, hiking and overall spending time with his family. To cherish his memory, he leaves his wife Sharon (Howard) Clarke of West Springfield; daughters Kelly Mann and her husband Randolph of Virginia Beach, VA and Kaitlin Joseph and her husband Jeffrey of West Springfield; grandchildren Cassady and Riley Joseph; brothers Westcott G. Clarke and his wife Cheryl of Wilbraham and Bryan B. Clarke and his wife Eileen of Springfield as well as many extended family members and friends. Family and friends are invited to gather on Sunday, January 13, 2019 from 4-7 PM at Colonial Forastiere Funeral Home, 985 Main Street, Agawam. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 14, 2019 beginning at 9:30 AM at the funeral home followed by a service at 11 AM at Mittineague Congregational Church, 1840 Westfield St, West Springfield. Committal services and military honors will be rendered at 1 PM at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery.
