Vincenzo Ciarcia, 87, of Agawam, MA formerly of Springfield, beloved husband of 57 years to Maria (DiMagro) Ciarcia, passed away on February 14, 2021 at home surrounded by his family. Born in Canicattini Bagni, Sicily on December 24, 1933, he was a son of the late Sebastiano and Giuseppina (Trigilio) Ciarcia. He attend school in Canicattini Bagni and then went on to work as a mason in Sicily. He came to America in 1960 and raised his family with his wife. He retired from Smith & Wesson after 35 years. He enjoyed being with his grandchildren, family and many friends. He is survived by his daughter Josie Strain, husband Tim, son Sebastian Ciarcia, wife Linda and daughter Judy Senuta, husband Shawn; his grandchildren Sophia Strain, Tyler Strain, Jake Ciarcia; step-granddaughter Tristan Senuta; brother Paul Ciarcia and extended family in Sicily. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, February 21, 2021 from 2-5PM at Colonial Forastiere Funeral Home, 985 Main St., Agawam. A funeral service for Vincenzo will be held on Monday, February 22nd beginning at 8:45AM at the funeral home, with a Mass of Christian Burial, be celebrated at 10AM, in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 123 William St., Springfield. Entombment will follow in St. Michael the Archangel Mausoleum in St. Michael Cemetery, Springfield.
