Virginia Kibbe

Virginia “Ginny” Kibbe, 92, of Agawam and formerly of Southwick, passed away surrounded by the love of her devoted family on Saturday, February 27th. She was born in Southwick on April 22, 1928 to the late Angelo and Elizabeth Garcia. She was employed for many years as a bookkeeper for Westfield Bank in their main office. Ginny was an avid flower gardener and could always be found walking her neighborhood- stopping to chat with her neighbors along the way. She was a devoted supporter of Agawam High School sports and kept in contact with many former student athletes, a tradition she continued from her late husband. She loved her sweets as well as the occasional Bloody Mary, prepared just the way she liked it. Ginny also never missed an episode of her favorite show, “Chicago PD” and enjoyed reading, especially John Grisham novels. She enjoyed going to Cape Cod with her daughter and son-in-law and sitting in her favorite Adirondack chair overlooking the water. One of the most important things Ginny enjoyed was the role of Grandma to her beloved grandson Bryce. Ginny was predeceased by her parents, her loving husband Clifford Sr. and her brother Ray. She will be forever missed by her son Clifford Jr. and his wife Carol and their son Bryce, with whom she made her home and her daughter Bonnie Willey and her husband Gene of Southwick. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Ginny are being held privately as per her wishes.
