Wallace O. Folkins

Longmeadow- Wallace O. Folkins, 92, went to be with the Lord on March 18,2018. He was born in Ayer, Massachusetts; but was a resident of Longmeadow for over 50 years. He was an honorably discharged United States Marine Corp. Veteran and served his country during WW II. Wallace was the owner of Pioneer Machine and Tool Company, Holyoke. He was predeceased by his wife Dorothea Mae Madison in 2006; and his significant special person Oonah Skinner Douglas in 2011.
Wallace is survived by his 2 sons, William A. Folkins of Longmeadow, Jeffrey Folkins and his wife Michele of Torrington, CT; a grand daughter, Katherine McDermott and her husband Logan Sr. of Capac, Michigan; and 2 great grandchildren, Addison and Logan Jr.
The family will gather and receive friends from 10:00AM until 11:30 AM on Thursday (March 22, 2018) in the Forastiere Smith Family Funeral Home, 220 North Main St., East Longmeadow with a funeral home service at 11:30AM. Burial with military honors will follow in Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, in Agawam.
