Paul F. Calarese

Paul F. Calarese, 69, of Longmeadow, passed away peacefully on Saturday August 12th at the Jewish Nursing Home in Longmeadow. Born in Hartford, CT to the late Francis and Christine (Doleva) Calarese, he was a graduate of Longmeadow High School and received his Associates Degree from Holyoke Community College. Paul served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam. Throughout his career, Paul was a Police Officer for 28 years with the Longmeadow Police Department. He enjoyed going to the beach and cheering on the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. He leaves his sister, Gail Siano and her husband Lou of Green Cove Springs, FL; his brother, Scott Calarese of Hudson, FL; his three nephews, Ryan Ginley of Fairfield, CT, Anthony Siano of Albany, NY and Matthew Siano of Belchertown, MA; many dear cousins, including Patti Calarese and his longtime friend who lovingly cared for him, Jan Selden and her son Steve of Longmeadow, to whom his family is eternally grateful. Paul’s wishes were to have all services private for the immediate family. Memorial donations may be made in Paul's memory to the Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 11, Chicopee, MA 01021. Forastiere Family Funeral and Cremation in East Longmeadow is entrusted with the arrangements.
