I lived across the street from Stu and Shirley for a few years. Stu was such a nice man, I would help him do odd jobs and he would let me borrow tools when needed. I remember watching red sox games with him. Very honored that I got a chance to meet him. My condolences go out to Shirley and the rest of their family.

I worked with Stu at Hamilton. I enjoyed his company and his friendship. He was a good man. I am out of town and unfortunately cannot attend his services. I just wanted you all to know the folks at HS thought the world of Stu. My sincere condolences.

Growing up on Doane Avenue, the Kibbe family was an extension of our own family. Spending just as much time around them as our own, Jody and I can't reminisce about our childhood without our sweet Mr. Kibbe. He was always found tending to his vegetable plantation (which always harvested a sea of tomatoes and they were found everywhere, the picnic table, the end tables, and the kitchen counter), sleeping in his recliner, loading that pot belly stove, tinkering outside, or sneaking snacks when he was supposed to be on a diet. Almost always with his shirt off, he became known as a fuzzy teddy bear. He was a big kid with a heart of gold. He always took an interest in what we were up to as kids and then as adults when we moved away. We are very fortunate to have known such a kind and gentle man.
Love, Jody and Ellen
