When I was a little girl Auntie Shirley picked me up when I fell down, nursed my skinned knees, Hugged me and let me play in the play ground. She didn't scold me the day I took a penny candy from the glass case of their store.,but smiled and said "I guess we'll have to give you an allowance, how much candy will you need?" She sponsored me for my Confirmation so I took her name. I remember being so proud to have her at my side.
She was the quintessential Mom and a wonderful example of a kind and Godly women.
